Present Simple

Present Simple means an action or things that is happening at the moment, which it is no present continuous.

For example; > sit, eat, listen, smile, and write.
E.g.; > Ikram eat the big burger just now.

*Rule; We use the Present Simple for things which happen regularly or which are always true.

  •  with We, I, They, and You (base from verb, which is not change)
  •  with He, It, and She (add s, es)
  •  with  He, It, and She (some verbs ends in 'es'/'s')
  •  verbs ends with consonants ( + ) y, the ending is '-ies'.
  •  Positive(+) We, I, They, and You = run
  •  Negative(-) We, I, They, and You = do not/don't run
  •  Positive(+) He, It, and She = runs
  •  Negative(-) He, It, and She = does not/doesn't run

*Rule; We often use the '-ing' form after V's of liking and not liking.
E.g.; > enjoys, hate and love.

Like (+) '-ing'

If the verb e, we drop the e before '-ing'.
E.g.;> dance = dancing
       > smile = smiling

If short V + C, we double the last letter before '-ing'.
